The beer pours golden in color. There
is an inch of white foam head that leaves a few rings of lacing down
the glass. The aroma is toasted grain, cereal, a touch of sweet and
fruit, along with hay. The taste is a base of bread and grain, with
light fruit notes. The finish is dry, with a moderate grassy
bitterness. There is a pleasant fruitiness on the aftertaste. The
beer drinks with crisp refreshment.
From 2011: This beer pours pure bright golden, well-carbonated, and with a massive pillowy head of white foam that leaves light lacing. The aroma is sweet, touch of honey, bready, with some fruit both sweet and tart, a bit like a dried apricot. The taste is sweet, honey, fruit and the white inside of soft warm french bread. There is a touch of yeast. The carbonation bites the tongue nicely. A person could drink this all summer.
