Surly Grapefruit Supreme

This 4.5% ABV tart ale with grapefruit added is from the Surly Brewing Company of Brooklyn Center (and now Minneapolis), Minnesota.

The beer pours a hazy light lemon yellow. There is an inch of fizzing white head. The aroma is full of juicy, bright grapefruit, channeling Squirt (or Ting if you have been to the Caribbean). The taste is big, bold, bright grapefruit and grapefruit soda over a pleasant moderately tart beer. The finish is dry and tart with a mild grapefruit rind bitterness. The beer drinks easy and smooth with light carbonation. This is a fantastic summer beer.
