The beer pours black in color. There is
a relatively short head of tan foam. The aroma is coffee, melding
into dark roasted malts. The taste is straight forward, coffee well
blended into a stout. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. The
oak is mostly apparent in a note of woody, bitter astringency in the
finish. The beer drinks easy, smooth, with soft carbonation. This is straightforward and tasty.
