Empyrean Long Route

The Empyrean Brewing Company is in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is their 5.0% ABV peanut butter porter. 

The beer pours very dark brown to black in color. There is a short head of tan foam. The aroma is strongly roasted peanuts, over dark roasted malt, a bit of chocolate. The taste follows the aromas, with the taste of the peanut butter a bit more moderated than the aroma. There is sweetness, but the finish is mostly dry, with moderate bitterness. The beer has a medium body and light carbonation.
