Anchor Porter

This is a 5.6% ABV porter. It is from the Anchor Brewing Company of San Francisco, California. 

The beer pours black in color. There is a tall, thick head of tan foam. The aroma is dark roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits. The taste follows the aromas. There is some sweetness, but the finish is dry and fairly bitter. The beer is not heavy, but has enough body to hold up its considerable level of flavor.
