The beer pours pitch black in color.
There is nearly an inch of light brown head that leaves rings of
lacing on the glass. The aroma is dark roasted malt, char, dark
fruits, light mocha. The taste follows the aromas, a well-balanced
blend of dark roast malt flavors, adding in more coffee than in the
aroma. The finish is very dry and quite bitter. The body is heavy
enough to hold up to all the flavor, with a good amount of
carbonation for a stout.
