Firetrucker Uptown IPA

This 5.8% ABV India Pale Ale is from the Firetrucker Brewery of Ankeny, Iowa. They are located in a former fire station, and thus the theme of their brewery.

The beer pours hazy, the color of dark apple cider. There is a half-inch head of white to off-white foam. The aroma is citrus, lemon and orange, with toasted caramel malt. The taste follows the aroma, old school IPA, citrus over caramel, with a bracingly bitter finish. The beer drinks refreshing, with a medium body.
