Lagunitas Mozango

This 7.7% ale made with Mosaic hops and mango juice is from the Lagunitas Brewing Company of Petaluma, California (and now with a brewery in Chicago, Illinois).

The beer pours a clear golden. There is a tall, thick, foaming head of white. The aroma is a blast of Mosaic and mango, tropical, with a bit of earthy, dankness. The taste follows the aromas, with bright mango puree on top, and the earthy, tropical dankness of the hops below. The finish is dry and fairly bitter. The beer drinks smooth, but with a crisp carbonation. The mango in this taste more like very processed canned mango juice and hurts the overall effect.
