Warped Roots Loaded Toad Lager

The new Warped Roots beers are sold only at Hy-Vee stores, and are brewed in Verona, Wisconsin by Toppling Goliath Brewing of Decorah, Iowa.  According to the can, a common toad can survive 40 years in the wild.  I never realized they lived that long. I certainly won't look at a toad quite the same way next time I see one outside.

The beer pours a deep golden. There is an inch of foaming, fizzing white head, but it is not long-lasting. The aroma is sweet and bready. The taste follows the aromas, malty, a bit sweet, honey, and much bread. The finish is semi-dry, and the bitterness is light. The beer drinks with a medium body and moderate carbonation. I don't think I'd repeat this one.
