Iowa Brewing Tragedy of the Common

This 4.9% ABV California common is from the Iowa Brewing Company of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 

The beer pours a burnt orange and amber in color. There is a half-inch of very light tan head. The aroma is sweet, roasted, and tangy all at once, with straw and lager funk. The taste follows the aromas, it is hard to pick out individual flavors, but the different sweet, roasted, tangy notes all meld together in a flavorful and harmonious blend. The finish is moderately bitter, grassy. The beer drinks easy and refreshing. This is a pleasure to drink.
