Mankato Mad Butcher IPA

The Mankato Brewery is in North Mankato, Minnesota. It is the first production brewery in that city since 1967. This is their 6.8% ABV American India Pale Ale. 

The beer pours a lightly hazed copper and amber. There is a relatively short head of off-white to light tan foam. The aroma is a blast of citrus, with mango and guava. The taste follows the aromas, with the tropical notes coming in quite ripe, round, and juicy. There is light bitterness, and the beer drinks very soft and easy. This is very enjoyable.
