Exile Lemon Trail

This 4.5% ABV ale is from the Exile Brewing Company  of Des Moines, Iowa. It is made with lemon, coriander, and Lemon Drop hops.

The beer pours a hazy dark golden and yellow. There is a short head of white foam. The aroma is lemon zest, lemon meringue filling, and a bit of toasted bread and graham crackers. The taste follows the aromas, and comes to a quick, and abruptly bitter finish. The beer drinks easy, with a pleasantly stinging carbonation. This has good flavor, but the extent of the bitterness makes the finish and aftertaste hard.
