Exile Chill Hop

This 7.5% ABV hazy double India Pale Ale is from the Exile Brewing Company  of Des Moines, Iowa. It is brewed with Simcoe, Mosaic, and Chinook hops.

The beer pours a lightly hazed golden peach. There is a short head of white foam that leaves sticky lacing down the glass. The aroma is tropical, guava and passion fruit, with a touch of mango skin and dankness. The taste is juicy, ripe, richly fruity, very tropical, following the aromas, but kicking it all up a notch. The end is moderately better, kept in check by ample, slightly sweet, malt. The beer drinks smooth and soft, but with a full, round body.

2019: I'm starting to gather they are going to release this each year around 4-20.  This year's uses Simcoe, Chinook, Columbus and Strata hops.  The beer pours dark golden and amber. There is an inch of white head. The aroma is dank, citrus, toasted malt. The taste is a smooth melding of the aromas, with the dank and citrus fighting for supremacy over the malt. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. The beer drinks smooth and refreshing.
