Dogfish Head Namaste White

The Dogfish Head Brewery is in Milton, Delaware. This is their 4.8% ABV Belgian-style witbier, or white ale, made with dried orange flesh and peel, lemongrass, coriander, and peppercorns.

The beer pours a hazy yellow golden. There is a half inch of white foam head. The aroma is citrus and floral, orange, lemon, geraniums, sweet malt, and spices. The taste follows the aromas, a spiced and fruity sweet bread, with a floral note as well. While there is sweetness, the finish is dry. The beer has an intense, fine carbonation and drinks easy, and on the smooth side. This is a nice example of the style.
