The beer pours a glowing and gleaming orange copper in
color. There is a short and thin off-white head. The aroma is fruity, cherries,
berries, plums, sweet, yet tart, a touch of toffee, a bit boozy. The taste has
all the fruit of the aroma, but less tartness, lots of roasted and toasted caramel
malt, a touch of woodiness, a bit of warming booze. The finish is mild and
mellow. It is full-bodied and lightly carbonated. A respectable winter warmer
of an ale.
