This 6.0% ABV beer is a seasonal release from the Shock Top Brewing Company of St. Louis, Missouri (think Anheuser-Busch InBev). It is brewed with Midnight wheat, chocolate malt, chili and spices. The world didn't end today, but I'll try this anyway.
The beer pours a bit hazy, medium dark brown, with a touch of orange tint. there is a large head of very light brown foam, quite thick and a bit creamy. The aroma is mild, light chocolate, chili and spice. The taste is a nice dry, chocolatey malt, set off nicely by the chili and spice. The finish is quite dry. It is well carbonated and the tingle of the carbonation combines nicely with the tingle from the chili which does give a mild heat. This is better than I expected.
