This 5.0% ABV beer is a Belgian-style spiced ale from the DuClaw Brewing Company of Abingdon, Maryland. It is brewed using chamomile, grains of paradise, cardamom, fruit flavors and Belgian yeast.
The beer pours orange and amber in color. It is highly and finely carbonated. There is a short head of off-white foam. The aroma is very spicy, the cardamom sticks out, along with some cherry fruit. The taste is lightly fruity, cherry, along with chamomile and spices, very spicy, again with the cardamom sticking out. It drinks fairly light, with lots of tingly carbonation. Interesting, but not sure if I would ever want to drink more than one at a time.
