The beers of Samuel Adams are from the Boston Beer Company of Boston, Massachusetts. This 5.8% ABV ale is brewed with holiday spices including cinnamon, nutmeg and orange peel.
The beer pours a hazy dark golden and orange in color. There is a creamy, fizzy white head. The aroma is toasted wheat, some citrus, leaning towards orange, and a conglomeration of the holiday spices with none predominating. The taste follows the aromas and ends with the spices, lingering cloves. It is lightly bitter and dry, with a tingling carbonation contrasting with a creaminess. The aftertaste of clove is disagreeable to me. I'm not too impressed with this one.
