Exile A Christmas Beer

This 7.3% ABV "festive lager" is from the Exile Brewing Company  of Des Moines, Iowa. 

The beer pours a very dark brown with garnet tints. There is nearly an inch of tan head. The aroma is sweet and nutty, darkened caramel. The taste follows the aromas, sweet, nutty, caramel, mild, with very light dark roasted notes. The finish is semi-sweet cut by a moderate bitterness. The beer has a full, but not heavy, body. It drinks smooth, with light carbonation.
