Budweiser Black Lager

This is a 7.1% ABV black lager from Budweiser, that they age on Jim Beam Bourbon barrel staves. I love the labels and caps they design for these different takes from Bud.

The beer pours black in color, dark ruby around the edges. There is nearly an inch of tan foam. The aroma is dark roasted malt, some sweetness, vanilla, light bourbon. The taste follows the aromas, but although there is some sweetness in there, the finish of the beer is very dry, astringency from oak, dark roast adds in char. The beer is medium bodied with an evident, but not too fizzy, carbonation.
