Deschutes Handup IPA

The Deschutes Brewery is in Bend, Oregon. This is a new 6.5% ABV India Pale Ale.

The beer pours golden and dried apricot in color, just a touch of haze. There is an inch of white foam head, not particularly long lasting. The aroma is dank, pine, and some overripe fruit. The taste follows the aromas, with the flavors melding nicely. The finish is quite dry and fairly bitter. The beer drinks with a medium body, well carbonated, but not overly so.
