The beer pours black. There is a short
head of tan foam. The aroma is mild, definite notes of rye whiskey,
cinnamon, vanilla, some chocolate with the dark roast malt. The
taste follows the aromas, dark roasted malt, both dry and sweet, a
bit of chocolate, then spicy rye whiskey. There is a moderate
bitterness in the finish. The body is full without being heavy,
drinking smooth, with some soft carbonation.
