Madhouse Blue Dream

The Madhouse Brewing Company originated in Newton, Iowa, and now have a new location in Des Moines. This is their 7.0% ABV blueberry sour ale.

The beer pours purple in color. There is a relatively short head of purple tinted foam. The aroma is bright, tart, fruity, with blueberry. The taste follows the aromas, tart and fruity, and adds in notes of leather and flowers. The finish is extremely tart and somewhat woody. The beer drinks with light carbonation and an almost vinous feel.
