Firetrucker Tropical Burn

This 8.5% ABV double India Pale Ale is from the Firetrucker Brewery of Ankeny, Iowa. They are located in a former fire station, and thus the theme of their brewery.

The beer pours a very dark amber, like the color of brewed iced tea. There is an inch of very light tan head. The aroma is tropical fruit, toasted malt, the mango is light. The taste follows the aromas, a big, sweet malt, with some tropical and citrus, the mango still light, a note of lemon squeezed iced tea. The finish is quite dry and fairly bitter. The beer drinks extremely soft and smooth.
