Oskar Blues Beerito

This 4.5% ABV amber Mexican style lager is from the Oskar Blues Brewery of Longmont, Colorado (they also now have a North Carolina brewery).

The beer pours a deep amber in color. There is a tall, thick head of light tan foam. The aroma is malty, caramel and sweet potatoes, with a bit of grassiness. The taste is malty, sweet, with some straw and some grassy bitterness on the finish. The beer drinks easy, smooth, with a crisp and refreshing carbonation. This makes for a nice amber lager.
