The beer pours black, with a short,
thin, head of tan. The aroma is sweet, dark molasses, fruity like
dark berries, with an overlay of bourbon. The taste is quite sweet,
toffee, molasses, brown sugar, bourbon, with some dark roasted notes.
The finish is sweet, but with some woody oak astringency. The beer
drinks smooth, near still, but with light carbonation. Its body is
full, without being heavy, but up to the job of holding up the ample
flavors.
