Sierra Nevada Resilience Butte County Proud IPA

This 6.7% ABV India Pale Ale is from Sierra Nevada Brewing of Chico, California. All of the proceeds from the sale of this beer (proceeds, not just profit) are being donated to help the victims of the 2018 California Camp Fire that devastated areas near to Chico. Breweries all over the country also brewed the recipe and donated the proceeds of what they sold.

The beer pours a deep, dark copper and gem-like amber in color. There is an inch of light tan head. The aroma is fruity, citrus, with a bit of blueberry and plum, over a solid malty, caramel body. The taste follows the aromas, dueling malt and hop fruit, followed by a blast of pine, with a fairly bitter finish. The beer drinks with a crisp refreshment. It is kind of like a double Sierra Nevada Pale Ale with a IPA bite on the finish. This is an enjoyable way to help a good cause. If you see it, pick it up.
