Brickway Oatmeal Pale Ale

This Galaxy dry hopped oatmeal pale ale is from the Brickway Brewery (and Distillery) of Omaha, Nebraska. It is 5.5% ABV.

The beer pours a cloudy dark apricot and burnt orange. There is a tall, thick, foamy head of off-white. The aroma is mild, vaguely citrus and tropical, with just a whiff of dank. The taste follows the aromas, with a bit of incongruous tartness. This tastes like it is mildly infected. The finish is extremely bitter. The beer has a soft body with moderate carbonation. I am definitely not digging this one. (Soon after trying this can I was able to try this one tap. The can was definitely off, it was much more solid on tap, like an English pale ale with a touch of American hops.)
