Firestone Walker Stickee Monkee

Here is the 2018 vintage of this 11.4% ABV barrel-aged Belgian-style quad  from Firestone Walker Brewing Company of Paso Robles, California.

The beer pours an extremely dark brown, nearing black. There is a relatively short head of tan foam. The aroma is sweet, dark caramel, toffee, and dark fruits. The taste follows the aromas, sweet, toffee and caramel, but also well roasted, a touch of coffee, and the tangy sweet of dark dried fruits, along with some oak. The finish is mostly sweet, with some bitterness. The beer drinks rich and smooth. This is delightful.
