Shiner Frost

Shiner beers come from the Spoetzel Brewery in Shiner, Texas (pop. 2,070). This is their winter seasonal Dortmunder style lager.  This 5.0% ABV beer is part of their mixed Texas Cold Front six pack.

The beer pours a clear light amber in color. There is an inch of thick off-white foam head. The aroma is malty, bready, slightly sweet. The taste follows the aromas malty, bready, caramel, a bit sweet, but with enough hops to bring a moderately bitter finish. The beer drinks easy with refreshing carbonation.
