Backpocket Strawberry Shortcat

This 6.0% ABV fruited sour is from the Backpocket Brewing Company of Coralville, Iowa. 

The beer pours a cloudy orange-amber-brown. There is a huge, thick, billowing head of tan foam. The aroma is strawberries, tart, with a touch of leather/tobacco/wood. The taste follows the aroma, a touch spicy on the end. The different flavors of fruit, sweet, tart, and earthy are well balanced. The finish is clean. The beer drinks with a mild sting of strong, fine carbonation. This is enjoyable.
