The beer pours a dark reddish-brown.
There is half an inch of light tan head. The head fizzles down
relatively quickly. The aroma is tart, sour, woody, with cherry and a
bit of subdued caramel. The taste follows the aromas, lots of tart,
cherry, wood, and caramel, all blended and well-balanced, with the
sour not out of control. The beer drinks soft, with lingering
tartness.
