The beer pours black in color. There is
a half-inch of dark khaki-tan head. The aroma is dark roasted malt,
dark chocolate, nutty, hazelnut, and a load of fresh coffee. The
taste hits the same notes as the aromas, lots of dark roasted malt,
loads of coffee, and a nutty and hazelnut note. The finish is quite
bitter. The beer drinks easy, with enough body to hold up all of its
flavors, but not at all heavy. There is a fairly intense carbonation,
but not overwhelming. This is a nice coffee porter.
