Boulevard American Brown Ale

The 12 pack samplers from Boulevard Brewing Company of Kansas City, Missouri now routinely include two varieties of their "Tasting Room" beers; beers that have been available in their tasting room in the past, but not bottled. This is a 5.5% ABV American brown ale. 

The beer pours a very dark brown with bright ruby tints. There is a relatively short head of tan foam, not long lasting. The aroma is rich roasted malt, caramel, and plums. The taste is roasted, oak, caramel, fruit. There is sweetness, but the finish is fairly dry and bitter. The beer drinks with a medium body, and fine and intense carbonation.
