Surly Kitsch Hoppy Lager

This 6.1% ABV hopped up lager is from the Surly Brewing Company of Brooklyn Center (and now Minneapolis), Minnesota. It uses Citra, Amarillo, and Centennial hops.

The beer pours a bright lemon-meringue yellow in color. There is a half-inch of white head, not long lasting. The aroma is bright, citrus, floral, grassy. The taste follows the aromas, bright and fruity, adding in a bit of pine. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. The beer drinks very easy, crisp, carbonated, and refreshing.
