Boulevard Tough Kitty Milk Stout

This is a 5.5% ABV milk stout. It is from the Boulevard Brewing Company of Kansas City, Missouri (brewing since 1989). 

The beer pours very, very dark brown to black in color. There is a short head of tan foam that fizzles down quickly. The aroma is dark roasted malt, sweet, creamy, chocolate and char. The taste follows the aromas, hitting the same notes, rich and flavorful, but still light in the mouth. There is milky sweetness, but the finish is dry, with a moderate bitterness. The beer drinks easy, with a pleasant moderate carbonation.
