Kona Kanaha Blonde Ale

This 4.2% ABV blonde ale with mango is from the Kona Brewing Company of Kona, Hawaii (although now brewed on the mainland as they are part of the Craft Brew Alliance).

The beer pours full to dark golden. There is a half inch of white head, not long lasting. The aroma is full of lager-like funk, straw, with a little bit of earthy tropical fruit, mango and mango skin. The taste hits the same notes as the aroma, with a light bitterness on the finish. The beer drinks with a crisp carbonation, but is just a touch too watery for all the flavor.
