Iowa Brewing Surf Zombies IPA

This 6.9% ABV India Pale Ale is from the Iowa Brewing Company of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It takes its name from the Iowa band also called Surf Zombies.

The beer pours amber in color. There is over an inch of off-white head. The aroma is citrus, lemony, over toasted caramel. The taste follows the aromas, lemon over malt, with a fairly bitter finish. The beer drinks easy, medium bodied, with moderate carbonation. Well executed and very satisfactory, but subdued, and not a lot to say about it.
