Exile Ogre at Simcoe Pass IPA

This 6.5% ABV hazy India Pale Ale is from the Exile Brewing Company  of Des Moines, Iowa. It uses Simcoe and Chinook hops.

The beer pours a hazy yellow and orange. There is a tall head of white foam that leaves thick and heavy large rings of lacing down the glass. The aroma is full of fruit, citrus, mango skin, light passion fruit, a bit of muskiness, and a general tropical fruit, like a tropical country's farmer's market from a distance. The taste follows the aromas, amping up the passion fruit note, and with a pronounced bitterness on the finish. The beer drinks very soft and smooth, but with strong tingling carbonation as well.
