Budweiser Freedom Reserve Red Lager

Another release in the Budweiser Reserve series. This one is a 5.4% ABV red lager, with one dollar per case donated to a veteran's organization, Folds of Honor. It has a classic stubby bottle, appealing label art, and cool bottle caps.

The beer pours a reddish amber in color. There is a short head of fizzy, light tan head. The aroma is malty, caramel and fruit, both sweet and tangy. The taste follows the aromas, malty, caramel, well-toasted, with a berry and plum fruit. The beer drinks easy, with a stinging, refreshing carbonation. The finish has a moderate, woody bitterness. There is a bit of a burnt aftertaste that lingers.
