Schell's Golden Lager

This lager made with elderflowers and chamomile also uses flash-frozen Huell Melon hops. It is from the August Schell Brewery of New Ulm, Minnesota. They are the second oldest family owned brewery in the United States (over 150 years and counting).  This was part of their winter sampler pack, the Peacock Pack.

The beer pours a dark golden, with a tall head of white foam. The aroma is bright, brassy, grassy, with sourdough crusty bread and lager funk. The taste follows the aromas, but adds in an extra bass note of solid maltiness. There is an appropriate bready sweetness in the taste, but the finish is dry, with a moderate, grassy bitterness. The beer drinks soft, followed by a crisp, refreshing carbonation. Is there anyone in the US who does lagers as well as Schell's?
