Summit Experimental Hop IPA

This is a 6.0% ABV India Pale Ale that uses, you guessed it, experimental hops. It is from the Summit Brewing Company of St. Paul, Minnesota, and is part of their recent Summit IPA collection.

The beer pours a bright orange-tinted copper and amber in color. There is a half inch of white head. The aroma is fruity, citrus, berries, and light pineapple, over toasted malt, tea with lemon. The taste follows the aromas, light fruit over toasted malt, with a very bitter and dry finish. The beer is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. If you like your IPA with quinine bitterness, this one is for you.
