The beer pours a dark brown with
red-orange ruby and garnet. There is a half-inch head of tan,
slightly creamy, head. The aroma is toasted malt, loads of caramel,
toffee, and a touch of nuttiness. The taste follows the aromas, lots
of malty caramel and toffee, with a light touch of nut, and a bit of
dark, plum-like fruits. There is some sweetness, but the finish is
semi-sweet to semi-dry, with light bitterness. The beer drinks easy,
smooth, with a tingle of carbonation. This is nicely done, yet easily
drinkable.
