New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA

This 7.5% ABV hazy IPA is from New Belgium Brewing of Fort Collins, Colorado. It is the latest release in their Voodoo Ranger line, and is a take on the current New England Hazy IPA craze. This uses American Hefeweizen yeast, and adds in oats to increase the smoothness.

The beer pours a hazy deep golden, with a tint of orange. There is a short head of white foam. The aroma is juicy, fruity, citrus, tropical, with a lot of passion fruit. The taste follows the aromas and hits the same notes, adding in some earthiness to all the fruit. The finish is mostly dry, with light bitterness for the style. The beer drinks smooth with a soft tingling of carbonation.
