Surly Rising North Pale Ale

This 5.4% ABV American Pale Ale is from the Surly Brewing Company of Brooklyn Center (and now Minneapolis), Minnesota. It is the official beer for Minnesota United FC, the local professional soccer team. 

The beer pours the color dried apricots, a deep, dark orange. There is a half-inch of white, foamy head. The aroma is citrus, lemon, orange, tangerine, with a touch of tropical and pine, over toasted, lightly caramel malt. The taste follows the aromas, lots of flavors swirling around here. The finish is mostly dry and moderately bitter. The beer drinks very smooth, soft, yet carbonated. This is pretty good!
