Spilker Sonar Botanic Punch

Sonar is a series of releases featuring different hops, from Spilker Ales of Cortland, Nebraska. It appears that they just closed, but will still have their beer brewed at another brewery? Botanic Punch variant features Mosaic and HBC 291 hops.

The beer pours a deep amber in color. There is an inch of light tan foam. The aroma is deep malt and plum, berries and blueberries. The taste follows the aromas, adding in caramel, and a touch of peach and earthiness. There is very little bitterness. The beer drinks quite smooth, with subtle carbonation.
