Brouwerij de Molen Hel & Verdoemenis

This 10.0% stout aged in bourbon barrels is from the Brouwerij de Molen in Bodegraven, the Netherlands. The bottle says to enjoy it within 25 years, so I am well within that limit.

The beer pours black, very dark brown and ruby on the edges when held to the light. The beer pours close to still, but with just a thin layer of dark brown foam on top. The aroma is deep, dark, sweet, roasted malts. There is lots of dark, dried fruits, raisins, prunes, dark chocolate, cocoa, with light bourbon and vanilla. The taste follows the aromas, dark and dried fruits, lots of dark chocolate and cocoa, adding in some black coffee, with light bourbon and vanilla. There is tons of sweetness, yet the finish comes off dry. The aftertaste adds in hazelnuts. The beer drinks full, smooth, and soft. My god, this is delicious!
