The 12 pack samplers from Boulevard Brewing Company of Kansas City, Missouri now routinely includes two varieties of their "Tasting Room" beers; beers that have been available in their tasting room in the past, but not bottled.
This blonde ale pours a very dark honey golden, nearing amber. There is a
tall, thick, foamy head of white to just off-white. The aroma is very mild,
lightly fruity, lightly malty. The taste is the same, very light, a bit of
toasted malt, light citrus, and a light grassy bitterness. The beer drinks
smooth and perfectly carbonated with a light to moderate bitterness on a dry
finish. Is this drinkable? Yes, but it is also quite possibly the most
boring beer Boulevard has ever brewed.
