The beer pours a dark copper and amber in color. There is a
half inch of off-white to light tan head. The aroma is full of peach, but more
peach flavoring than fresh peach, with a roasted, almost nutty, maltiness
behind it. The taste follows the aromas, lots of peach, roasted nutty malt,
there is almost a strawberry and dark fruit note to the malt as well, along
with a hint of spicy tobacco. The beer has a light to medium body with
tingling, but not obtrusive, carbonation. I like what this is trying to do, but
it just doesn’t quite gel for me. The peach comes across a bit strong and
tastes artificial, and I think that is what prevents it from coming together in
balance.
