New Glarus Home Town Blonde

The New Glarus Brewing Company is in New Glarus, Wisconsin. They are only distributed in Wisconsin. Their beers are tasty, yet very accessible. 

The beer pours golden yellow with a light haze. There is a tall, foamy head of white, relatively thick and long-lasting. The aroma is lightly floral and fruity, citrusy, grassy, with just a bit of muskiness. The taste hits the same notes as the aroma, but kicks them up a notch, that much fruitier, tangier, grassier. The fruit begins to turn to blueberry, which is a bit weird for a pilsner. The finish is dry and only lightly bitter. The beer drinks refreshing, nicely carbonated without being fizzy.
